Divisional Secretariat - Deraniyagala

Commemoration ceremonies and tree planting programs and invasive tree removal activities organized for the 74th Independence Day celebrations were held on 4th February 2022 at the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat Division at the domain level. On the same day, the first tree planting program of the Divisional Secretariat under the program of planting 75 saplings per day was also carried out in the "Panakura" and "Pandaha" divisions.

Commencement of selected projects at the Grama Niladhari Division level of Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat under the "One Lakh Work from the Budget - Rural Development Program" on 03rd January 2022 at It was done at the auspicious time of 08.52.

Thaipongal Festival was celebrated on 25th January 2022 at the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat with the financial assistance of the Sabaragamuwa Provincial Ministry of Culture and Education and the collaboration of Department of Cultural Affairs.

Kegalle District Coordinating Committee Chairperson and Hon. Member of Parliament Mrs. Rajika Wickramasinghe conducted a program to provide LED Flash Light to societies and voluntary organizations under decentralized provisions 2021, on 28th January 2022 at Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat.

A ceremony to award permanent appointment letters as Development Officers to trainee graduates who have completed one year of training was held on 19-01-2022 at the Deraniyagala Divisional Secretariat under the patronage of the Hon. Ajith Shyaminda who is the former member of Provincial Council and Deputy Chairman of the Regional Coordinating Committee.

Madushani de Silva, Assistant Director Mr. Ananda Somaratne, Administrative Grama Niladhari Mr. Ranjith Gunawardena and a group of officials participated.
